Photo of the Harper Triplets, 1911. The Harper triplets were the first known set of triplets born in Pastville, Pennsylvania, Born in 1851 the sisters were a sensation throughout the region because of the rarity of triple births. In the photo, the three sisters are seated on the porch of the house believed to belong to Olga. The eldest, Olivia is wearing glasses. Olga is in the middle. On the far right is Octavia who is identifiable because of the head scarf she was known to wear. In the foreground is Olga's granddaughter, Jilly Jean Mortenson. |
